The rainfall  which is  acidic  is  called  acid  rain . It is  a  major  pollutant of  our  environment . Acid  rain contains harmful chemicals  from fact gases. Our  environment is highly  affected  by  acid rain . It  damages  wildlife , trees, crops,lakes and  buildings . It has again ,a  damaging effect on human health . When acid rain causes the release of chemicals and metals into drinking water , it harms people's health . It causes chest illness specially. Besides, it fades the color of the glass and paint . It also washes away building materials. Many of the world's famous buildings are at risk  from acid pollution. For example , acid  rain  has caused serious damage to the wall of the vita Mahatma in India .Drinking water is also affected by acid rain.
